Amendment in additional visa

His is regarding a request for an amendment to be made to a single entry E-visa I have applied and paid for today. Can the government make a change in the additional visa section to residence permit/UK, which is the correct detail and was entered in error given internet and website issues. I have now paid the fee and received the visa document. I would be much obliged if you could let me know if this is a mandatory amendment that needs to be made ? additionally if they would offer any refund if they are unable to make this ammendment ?
