When your e-Visa is approved, the visa is valid for 180 days. How long you can stay in Turkey within this period vary according to country of your travel document. The minimum is 30 days and maximum is 90 days, not all citizens/nationals qualify for 90 days stay. A traveler on single-entry e-Visa cannot split the days approved for stay, it has to be used consecutively. A traveler on multiple entry e-Visa may split the days approved or not.
For instance, Michael obtained multiple entry Turkey e-Visa on January 1, the visa is valid from April 1 for stay up to 60 days in Turkey for tourism purpose. This imply that the visa will be valid for 180 days from April 1 to October 1. Within this period, Michael can stay for 60 days in Turkey consecutively or at interval. Michael may decide to travel to Turkey on May 1, spend 60 days and leave on July 1. Also, Michael may decide to travel to Turkey on May 1, spend 30 days and leave on June 1, enter turkey again on August 25 and leave on September 25 after 30 days. ACCPTABLE TRAVEL PURPOSE FOR e-VISA
The Turkish government started the online e-Visa application to ensure “short stay” travelers easily apply for travel document to Turkey in a faster and more cost effective manner. Turkey e-Visa is only issued for tourism, transit and trade purposes.
A tourist traveler is expected to be visiting Turkey for holiday, to meet family, friends or tourist attraction sites. It is important to also note that visiting Turkey in a cruise ship and going ashore beyond the international transit areas is considered tourist travel by Turkish government. If an application is rejected, the applicant can submit a new application online after 24 hours. Ensure all information are entered correctly the second time. If the application is rejected the second time, then applicant should consider other reasons than incorrect information for the refusal. It is advisable to visit the nearest Turkish embassy or consulate to lodge a complaint and possible apply for a sticker/stamped visa.
